“I've bought Insignia batteries in the past & have been happy, but I've wondered: are these worth it in the long run? Example: If I use 4 Insignia C batteries, will they last as long as 4 Alkaline/Duracell C batteries in the same product?”

No. I've used AA, AAA, and 9V. All have very noticeably poor battery life compared to name brand. I don't see why C or D cells would be any better.

Another point, I have used both many times, and the trouble I have with Duracell is they corrode more often. I have yet to have an Insignia battery corrode. For me and my experience, I will not buy Duracell anymore.
