The case does not open wide; it moves up just a fraction of an inch. Move it further upward with you fingers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Are you pressing sufficiently on the top right corner of the CD cover to push it down so that it unlocks? Once it unlocks and pops up a bit, just lift it sufficiently to slide in the CD. Then push the lid closed at the front right corner of the same cover, until it latches closed. It should then play, using the CD controls, not to be confused with the tape function controls.
