I am amazed and still can found a boombox with the cassette built in. Since I still have a lot of old days cassettes left in the basement, now I could play back some of the oldies and bring back my childhood memories. And the best of all, it could play back all type of recorded discs.

Purchased for my mother who is legally blind to be able to play cassettes. Unfortunately she can not maneuver inserting the cassettes and will re-gift boombox. This is a great item just not for her.

I like this little boombox to play CDs. Haven't used the cassette player yet, since I hardly play cassettes any longer, but will try. Found my favorite radio stations, but still haven't found the perfect point in my apartment for the best reception. The antenna is flexible, so I will move it around. The instructions are a bit too simplistic on the small info leaflet. I had to find better instructions on the larger leaflet. I keep it next to the radio to refer to the instructions. It's a fine little boombox. Very lightweight. But what more do I need?

It's difficult to find a digital Boombox these days that can play your old but treasured cassettes. This is a basic compact box that does everything without fancy detachable speakers or mega-bass features. Multi-function buttons take some getting used to but all modern electronic devices are doing this. I would highly recommend this for use in a bedroom, den, home office or workshop.

Bought this boom-box for my wife whom is not very easy to impress. But she was impressed with this quality box. It had everything she wanted, the smaller size, lighter weight than the old one she had, and the sound was great. It is the only thing I bought her for Christmas that did not get returned!

I love this product! It's getting harder and harder to find a CD AND cassette player. I had been looking for a radio, CD and cassette player and found this quite by chance in Best Buy. Similar products online such as at Amazon were twice as expensive and many were from discontinued lines. The machine works very well and has good sound. The controls are a little stiff and there's not a remote control, but I got use them easily enough and can easily work them in a dark bedroom -- were I put this player. I've bought a couple of other products off the Best Buy Magnolia line and have been please with their performance and quality.

I really like the product. I really like that it plays cassettes. The sound quality is good. It's easy to use. Overall quality is good.

I bought this for my 84 year old mother-in-law and she loves it. Easy for her to use and nice sound for the size of the device. decent price and good sound system

Bought this for my father-in-law. His last combo boombox died and he wanted another one which can play cassettes and CD's, which makes up his listening library. Not too many manufacturers make this combo CD/cassette boombox any more, but the Insignia got good reviews so I ended up buying it. So far, so good. The boombox is loud enough for my father-in-law (96 years old) and sounds pretty good considering he plays it pretty loud so he can hear it without his hearing aid. He likes to go to sleep with music. I am glad someone can fall asleep since his wife surely can't since the music is so loud. If you are looking for an easy to use CD/cassette boombox with an AM/FM radio which sounds pretty good and can be cranked up with minimal distortion, then I recommend the Insignia NS-BCDCAS1.

I’m enjoying the boombox! I love the portability of it for playing CDs, cassettes, or the radio once I put the batteries in it. The sound/volume level are good. I keep it plugged in most of the time, but it’s lightweight for when it gets moved around.

We got this for my Mother In law to listen to. It's has good sound and is easy to use. It's a nice size for a smaller living area.

There are not many options for radio, cassette and CD players. So not too much to compare. Sounds fine for vasic midr-angey late 80s early 90s style boom box. Not a big bass sound to it. LED screen is bright and clear. Buttons are small (except cassette which is mechanical button) and hard to press and small to read. silver with dark print dies not work well fir poor eyes. Bought for father in law in his 80s having a tough time getting electronic buttons to work for him and reading - so i tagged buttons with cokored taoe for him to get use to. It does not have a contunuous play or auto sids B setting. Cassettes loads upside down. Pricey but works

The sound quality is very good. The size is perfect for my desk. I like the fact that can play tape cassettes along with the radio and CD's. It is good that it is light weight enough to move it to another room.

THE BOOMBOX HAS A VERY LARGE SOUND FOR SUCH A SMALL UNIT. EASY TO CARRY AND FUN TO USE, IT HAS AN AUXILIARY INPUT FOR ANOTHER SOUND SOURCE AND HEADPHONE JACK FOR THE THE TIMES WHEN YOU NEED IT A LITTLE MORE QUITE.

I bought this after returning a Jensen to Target. I needed a cassette player to listen to some old cassettes I had. The Insignia cassette player does work fairly well, although I have begun to hear a little speed variation whenever playing any of the cassette tapes. You'll need to be careful if you have big fingers. The play button and the record button are right next to each other. It's very easy to accidentally press them both at the same time, which will erase your tape. There is no window to see the tape once it is inserted, so you can't tell approximately where in tape you are at. The CD player is fine. I was unable to get any FM stations, but I am in a very poor reception area, so that is par for the course. This is a good boombox for the patio or the workbench in the garage.

The sound is great, the price is economical, it plays both cassettes and discs in addition to the AM/FM radio. I needed a radio for the patio and swimming pool this summer and it was perfect. It will also be just right for power outages as it can operate on batteries.

Good sound and easy to operate. Multiple functions. Light weight.
