• yes it has a CD player and has place to plug in the MP3 in the back.

• It plays CDs, not MP3. The quality is Ok but not real good.

• Bought this player today and taking it back tomorrow..ATE UP 2 of my precious cassette tapes!!! Bought it mainly to play old tapes and recordings..first 2 times used..one broke the tape, the second got hung up on the fast forward feature. Not taking any chances..getting a sony and hopeful spending abit more will prove better. Will report back
