No, you only need to plug it in when you are charguing the controller. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack.

No. You can do this, but once the battery has enough power (or preferably completely charged) you can play wirelessly and it should last for many hours before it needs charged again.

No, once the controller is fully charged, the indicator light will change color and you can use the controller wirelessly until it runs low on charge again. How long the charge lasts depends on how you use it. It lasts a long time for me because I mainly watch tv, but it is still going strong after a few days of heavy play by my son.

Doesn't need to plugged in at all times. My son has used his for about 4-6 hrs straight and didn't have to put on charger. He just puts it in charger at night and ready for a long day of play

Only if the controller is not charged. If it is charged it does not need to be connected.
