Wedge a gift card at the top of the phone. Jam it in till it hits the back, slide the card to the right and slightly forcefully push from the back camera lenses, all while pulling the phone slightly to the right as you try to release the top of the left side of the phone..take your time and do this on a couch just in case the phone flys out of your hand.... Yes worse case ever

Try to create a small gap that allows you to slide your finger down the entire side, releasing one side of the phone from the case.
