Yes, but not through sliding or extending any part of the arm. It would be done by pivoting the most inner portion of the arm backwards (toward the back of the screen), and pivoting the center portion forward therefore moving the two sections closer. The bigger problem is that I cannot get them far enough apart. I have two 32” monitors on mine and the best I can do is to give up about 1.5” of viewing space on the right side of my left monitor. I also have two pics showing the inside edges touch and then overlapped to give an idea of how much they can be brought together. Also a couple pics of the back and how they have to pivot to print the screens closer. One thing I want to mention is to make sure you have enough room in the back to clamp to the desktop. The mount really needs about 3.5” on the backside, my setup is only about 2” and it seems fine but I worry that info the desk were to accidentally get bumped into there could be an issue. Overall they are good quality and no complaints as far as construction. I think in my case there was a better alternative for the 32” screens. So depending on your monitor sizes I think they are perfect for 24-27” setup.
