I don’t know the size but I used 3/8 without issue

Please try again later.I would 100% not trust any mount being directly bolted to anything other than either wood studs or metal studs( as you said you would be placing it). The bolts that come with the mount are 3/8 and should do the trick depending on how thick your plywood wall is. If its pretty thick i would get some longer bolts, preferably something that will grab onto metal. Make your pilot holes smaller than the bolt and drill those bolts in. If you're use the plactic bolt holders that come with the kit, drill a slighty bigger hole and hammer those puppies in before bolting. Hope this helps.
