It should. That is it's intent. Pass thru Video and extract audio to out. I use it on a PS4. Plug HDMI out of PS4, pass thru other HDMI cable to TV, then take optical out to the optical in of my A50 Headset box In you case, you will need a 3.5mm to RCA adapter like this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-6-3-5mm-mini-to-rca-stereo-audio-cable-black/4408001.p?skuId=4408001
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I actually tried this just last night and the security on the Roku stick I was using did not work with this device. I had it working with a Chromecast prior to hooking up the Roku so I am pretty sure that is the issue.
