I use this for a 768p monitor and connected it to my GTX1050ti. Problem: Vertical white lines in background. Internet says might not be pushed in or update GPU drivers. Can't push adapter in more. How do I solve this problem? Is it just a faulty adapter? null

Try adjusting your screen resolution and or refresh rate. The card can do up to 60fps while the monitor will probably handle around 30, other than that maybe faulty adapter or monitor.

May have a bent pin if using a pin connector adapter. Or coins be a damaged wire in the cable. Should have nothing to do with the adapter.
