Joyce I had to chuckle at your question. Because I feel the same way as you do. However what I do is that I lay my headphones on my shoulder doing a commercial. Or I simple remove them completly away from me. Just as long as I can reach then quickly when the movie returns. Since the regular volume on my TV is off. Hope this was helpfu Joyce.

Please try again later.does not appear to as far as I can tell. my only complaint is that shows are too bassey and hard to understand when actors talk soft. talk shows are ok. my only solution to the bass so far has been to tilt the headset back on my head so earphones cover only half my ear. kinda a pain but works most of time. as far as the original question I would say no - they do not autocorrect volume wise for commercials. hope this helps.
