why can't I get audio with my new headset? null

You are not alone. Mine are Junk also. I suggest you return them. I waited to long and cant money down the drain

There could be several reasons that depend on how you hooked up the input to the headphones. I used the optical feed from my cable box to the headphone base. When you lift the headphones off the base the bottom LED should light indicating optical feed. The headphones will start immediately. If you are hooked up differently we need to know how.
