Hi, Cathy. I appreciate you sharing this inquiry with us. The Docking Station required to be physically connected to an audio source device, either through RCA or Optical cord. It is not possible to be connected wireless. The wireless function is between the Docking Station and the Headphones only. Alexander G. - Insignia Support

Please try again later.Nope... needs to be connected to a tv via headphone/RCA or optical toslink cable, you can run the cable behind the wall the same way as power/cable wires though. You may also want to check to see if your TV has bluetooth capabilities since that would solve your need for no wires
