Yes, the power adapter senses voltage and supports 110–240V. A portable unit has a rechargeable battery and does not need to be plugged in when the battery is charged. This model requires being plugged in.

The difference between these two speakers is the portable one that has a battery pack that you can take with you you do not have to have it plugged in to use it just have the battery charged.
