Hi Jana, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our Smart Speaker. Regarding your inquiry, Google uses the set-up process and coutry, city location to establish time setting. Since South Africa is not yet in the list of Google supported countries something you can try is during Set-up select a European City that matches your time zone there are several cities outside North America that Google supports.
