Sounds like a dud. I'd exchange it for another.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if we were having the same problem, but we weren't getting anything to work either at first. We found that the device had to be in "pairing mode" (by holding the + and - buttons together for 4 seconds) in order to pair with the Google Home app on our phone. My daughter handled it from there.
