Yes. I would recommend it for going to the beach with a party of four and even keeping it in a beach bag to prevent sands getting into it. The audio comes out really good, loud and clear. After fully recharged, it can last for several long hours continuously. I use it with my MP3 player for ballroom dance practice across the room. I put it in my backpack or in my car with music on whenever I am on the go. This way, I listen to my favorite music without commercial interruptions.
