This is how Bluetooth headsets are designed. They're designed to work as headsets for phone calls. So when you connect to your PC as a headset, it uses that protocol for the connection. The sound will be changed to work best with the sound bandwidth of a cell phone. Unless you have software that utilizes the headset connection differently, then that is how they will work.
