Excellent sound&noise cancelling at a Great Price

The first time I bought a headphone with the noise cancelling feature, it was a TCL a week before. That first experience was awful. The noise cancelling did not cancel any sound at all. The sound was terrible but the price was low. At the end I decide to return those and look for a better quality at a higher price. And a week later I discover this superior product with a great noise cancelling feature and crystal-clear sound. The price? $10 higher than the TCL. Yeah, It’s true! For only $79.99 you will be the owner of a great pair of headphones with a nice quality of audio and materials. The battery lasts 20 hours with the noise cancelling activated but without the noise cancelling it could last 40. It has a touch control that works perfectly they are so comfortable that you can stay with them for hours without problems. Thank God there still are companies producing great products, with excellent quality and at a low price out there.

Smooth balanced sound. The right balance of bass, treble and mid-range frequencies (I listen to everything from country to rap music along with audio books). I am not an audiophile, but for me, these headphones work great for working in the yard and working on my vehicles. Also being able to make an receive phone calls is a plus as I often am not able to pull out my phone to answer a call while I am performing a task (ever perform brake work on a vehicle?). The noise cancelling works quite well. A great buy for me and may be a great buy for you. Highly recommended to all.

    Comfortable & Effective Sound-Canceling Headphones

The Insignia NS-AHBTOENC wireless headphones are a very nice option for a comfortable listening experience at home, traveling or while working out. They incorporate an effective noise suppression and echo canceling system, use the latest Bluetooth 5.0 connection technology, have easy-to-operate controls and a very long battery life. And, since these are made by Best Buy’s Insignia brand, these features are all provided at a very economical price. Here are the key features: • Insignia Model NS-AHBTOENC noise-canceling over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones • Bluetooth 5.0 reception range up to 33 feet • Noise-canceling/suppression technology helps block external noises, may be switched on or off • Monitor function allows ambient sound to be easily heard while wearing headphones, may be switched on or off • Built-in microphone for making and receiving phone calls • Touch control on side of right earphone to raise/lower volume, next/previous track selection • Power, Bluetooth pairing, Monitor and Noise Cancel buttons on left earphone • Rechargeable internal lithium ion power source: 3.5 hours to fully charge with included micro USB connection cable • Headphones will operate up to 20 hours continuously from a full charge, 16 day standby time • Can also operate without using any power by connecting a 3.5 mm stereo cable to left earphone • 3.5 mm (headphone) male-to-male connection cable included • Easy to follow illustratedd quick set-up guide • Foldable design for compact storage • Size: 6.7 inches by 7.5 inches by 2.3 inches • Weight: 8.5 ounces • One year warranty on parts and labor Included in the box are the headphones, instructions, a 33 inch long micro USB charging cable and a 50 inch long 3.5 mm direct-connect wire cable. The quick set-up guide is comprehensive with step-by-step instructions for using the headphones, a trouble-shooting checklist, technical specifications and detailed explanations for using each feature. The headphones have a non-reflective black finish, substantial bass-producing drivers and super-soft memory-foam cushions on each headphone for superb comfort and noise isolation. First step is to charge the headphones. Just attach the charging cable, plug it into your computer or a USB outlet and LED lights will go out when they are fully charged (about 3.5 hours when fully discharged.) A red LED light next to the charging port goes out when the unit is fully charged. The stated music playing time of twenty hours seems right and may even be conservative. Next, press the power button for two seconds to turn them on – an audio prompt indicates when the power is on or off. Pair the earphones with your phone or other source via Bluetooth. Pressing the power button for four seconds initiates pairing. An audio prompt guides you, but my phone paired them very quickly and without drama. A blue LED indicates the connection has been made. The headphones are fully adjustable and the very soft pads completely and comfortably enclose most ears. I cannot stress enough how comfortable these headphones are. They are light (a bit over 8.5 ounces) and have plenty of adjustment range to enable a good fit. The earphone pads are fairly large (about 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide) so they qualify as “over ear” and they provide very good sound isolation. You can wear them for many hours in perfect comfort and your ears will thank you afterwards. Even without the noise-canceling function most external sounds are blocked. Pressing the ANC (automatic noise canceling) button turns on that feature and there is an audio announcement that it is active (or that it has been turned off.) The ANC technology is very effective for random noise. I turned on both my shower and bathroom sink faucet and the noise (which would normally be very loud) was just a faint hiss which I could easily ignore while listening to the music. Even without music playing the noise canceling feature was pretty effective. These would be great on a noisy airplane ride! The Insignia AHBTOENC headphones have a nice reproduction of mid-range notes and provide plenty of bass. I feel that their performance on upper range notes was not as faithful as some other (much more expensive) headphones I own so they may not meet the most demanding audiophile’s expectations. However, given their modest price and the bonus of the noise-canceling feature, these headphones will satisfy most users for casual listening. They are a perfect choice for traveling and would pass boring hours in airports and on planes with gold stars for quality, sound level and range. Like all good earphones these will respond to various voice commands, allow you to interact with Siri, take calls, etc. Each earphone has some controls. The right side has a nice touch pad which will raise/lower volume, skip tracks (forward and backward), pause and repeat tracks and has a microphone for use during calls. The left side turns the earphones on/off, handles Bluetooth pairing, activates the noise cancelation feature and also takes calls The Bluetooth 5.0 connection is super-reliable. I have used the headphones in my home and can walk 35 to 40 feet from my phone without a connection break. If you lose connection it quickly restores itself when you come back into range. Bottom line - the Insignia AHBTOENC noise-canceling Bluetooth headphones are an excellent value for music fans who want a very comfortable headset, superb noise isolation and a dependable travel partner. I have given this item four stars, losing one star only because the music reproduction was just not as good as I would hope. However, on balance, I think you will be happy with this purchase!

I have an obsession with wireless headphones I just can't seem to have enough of them. Despite owning a little more than ten pairs of headphones I didn't have a noise canceling pair until now. That being said let's take a look at Insignia brand latest over the ear BTNC (Bluetooth noise canceling) headphones. I have spent some time with these BTNC head phones and here are my first impressions. Upon taking them out of the box they are really lightweight and feel great when held in your hand. They are really comfortable and you don't feel pressure when wearing them from extended periods of time. Aesthetically speaking they are headphones and have a nice folding design. In the box you will find a 3.5 mm cable and micro usb cable. Let's jump right into the pros and cons Pros: - Lightweight - Comfortable - Noise canceling - Bluetooth 5.0 - Foldable - Touch controls - Good battery life Cons: - No smartphone app - No USB type C for charging - No carrying case or pouch included General thoughts: So there is a lot to like about the headphones they sound good with a decent amount of bass to them. The fact that this has noise canceling is great it does help drown out the noise from whatever environment you are in. I found that while riding the train you would need to have the volume at a minimum of 75% with noise canceling on to drown out everything. Indoors are different you would not need to have them as loud. Battery life is great I use them anywhere from 2-5 hours a day mixed use of NC (Noise canceling) and I was able to get 5 days use until I needed to charge them again. Speaking of charging these headphones do take some time to charge at around three hours. I have not had any issues with connectivity, I like the audible tones when you power on the headphones. You get a womans voice with what sounds like a European accent, you also get an audible notification when you turn NC on and off. The touch controls are a nice added feature which is useful and allows you to skip tracks, pause and play music, adjust the volume. Call quality is good the party on the other end had no trouble hearing me and vice versa. TL;DR These are a great pair of headphones that does a lot right. It sounds good, has good battery life, is very comfortable and lightweight. I do wish there was a companion app for smartphones. Overall this is worth considering it is a great value and won't leave your wallet in a coma like some other pair of headphones.

Sound quality is excellent, however, these headphones are very cheaply made and did not last long. In about a year, they had already fallen apart. The material is really cheap and the support doesn't help. I called Insignia before the warranty was up and they said to take it to BestBuy Geek Squad and the Geek Squad said I need to talk to the manufacturer since I did not purchase the additional warranty.

Out of the box these are some nice impressive headphones. Included in the packaging is the headphones, usb charging cable, a 3.5 mm audio cable, and a little owners manual/pamphlet to describe the operations of the buttons and touch surface. They can collapse for a smaller footprint for storage purposes. Put these headphones on and had them paired up to my iPhone XR in seconds. Fast and easy to use in the pairing process. These headphones are an over the ear design and the ability to have noise cancellation is a great feature. Turned these on and listened to some music by Toby Mac “The Elements” and it sounded fantastic. Was really impressed by the deep bass these headphones were able to crank out. The sound and tones were clear and I truly wasn’t expecting this kind of sound quality. I feel like these headphones are a bargain compared to more costly options so you can have a status symbol to show off. I like the fact I can use these via wireless Bluetooth but also utilize the audio cable and listen to the headphones in a wired format if I needed to. The noise canceling and sound isolation is a great feature when I want to enjoy my music and not be bothered by outside surroundings and noise. Comes in handy for me while I mow the lawn on my riding mower to block out the loud engine, sitting at work and blocking out coworkers chatter. The battery life is a stated 20 hours and I’m sure it can stand the test of time. I wore these for about 3 hours of watching basketball the other night and the sound and comfort was spectacular. Ear hugging comfort with soft cushioning is a must and these felt great. Using the touchpad surface on the right ear takes a little getting used to but it’s nice to have. Slide up or down for volume controls, and slide left and right for track skipping. Built in microphone worked well for my phone calls as my receiving party was able to hear me loud and clear. These are a good looking pair of headphones without any big logos to proclaim to the world what brand of headphones you’re wearing. They fit really well and offer nice comfort and cushioning. The sound is very good and I would say on par with many top tier brands. PRO: Quality sound Noise cancellation Great padding and comfort Clean looks Foldable design CON: Touch surface to control music content takes some getting used to

UPS did the honor of delivering the package to me. They are usually careful about putting the package on my front door mat without slamming it down like FedEx Ground. And they keep it away from the rain too. Noticed the nice clear product box Insignia usually uses. Product box fits snugly in the cardboard shipping box. Maybe that’s why I didn’t see a dented corner on the outside box ? Took time to read the start up guide. Lots of built in control features on the left ear piece. Headset is very comfortable so no problem using it for long periods of time. A pleasant surprise is that there is no required app to adjust settings. This speeds up the learning curve for the device in my opinion. I have a long USB cord plugged into a Wi-Fi power strip that charged the device. Minor point but device uses a Micro USB port for charging. Not like the USB-C ports that are showing up on competitors. Some people prefer this. I know I do even tho I have USB wall.chargers for my two Pixel phones and Pixel Stand. Device charged up in less than 45 minutes so must have come with a partial charge. Product is foldable but doesn’t come with a soft shell, zippered case with D-ring. No issue as I can always get one cheap online. They start at $6.99 and provide a handy way of storing the included charging cable. But that’s not a big deal. SOUND Paired with Bluetooth settings on my Pixel 3XL phone the first time I tried. Noticed very good bass. Just for good measure I used the included 3.5 mm cord and used it on my phone with the adapter that came with said phone. No issues encountered. NOISE CANCELLATION Next step was to turn on my living room TV and set sound to 20. Then pressed ANC (auto noise cancellation) button on left ear piece. Played YouTube Music Epic Film Scores free radio station. I could hear the music clearly without background noise interference. Did have to turn up sound level on phone tho. THE VERDICT Everything works as intended so will keep product in my Chromebook carrying backpack for now. I definitely feel I lucked out big time with these earphones !

They’re headphones... you put them on, plug em in, and get on your way, right? Not anymore. It’s 2019. We have smartphones and technology is every evolving and these fit right along with the times. Packaging is simple. Easy to open, minimal accessories, just the headphones, a USB charge cord, and an audio jack in case the rechargeable battery runs out. This is the first thing to note. It’s a great feature but a two way audio jack is useless to anyone with an iPhone X or newer. Keep that in mind. I don’t fault Insignia for not catering to every audience but with millions of customers using iPhones, it’s a bummer that we need a sale rate backup cord. After unpackaging this was a real easy setup. The easiest I’ve ever set up a Bluetooth in fact. I charged the headphones to anticipate the sound and noise canceling quality. After a surprisingly brief charge from 0-100%, I was in business. I turned my TV to normal volume, out these on, and tested the noise cancellation. I noticed with noise cancellation off, they did a solid job. Blocking off about 40% of noise. With noise canceling on it was closer to 80%. Some external noises noticeably slip through but it’s nothing that bothered me. It was also very notable how light the headphones were as well as comfy. I wore them for hours at a time with no issue and I’m very weight sensitive with anything on my head/neck. The battery is also incredible at lasting 12-20 hours per charge, lasting more if you don’t use the noise cancellation fever. I tested movement as well, bending down shaking my head around and the headphones always stayed secured to my ears, which is a plus. After walking around for a couple days I did notice that when I walked in the wind, it becomes super windy sounding in the headphones, which was interesting since I’ve never had headphones leak the wind tunnel-like sound into my ear. I turned off noise cancellation and the wind sound lessened significantly. This should hardly be an issue for most but it was noticeable that the phones performed better in wind with noise cancellation off than on. Besides that, the headphones has buttons on the left earpiece for turning it on/off, as well as a “monitor” mode, but I’m not sure what does yet. The right earpiece has an external touchpad that can be easily used to turn volume up or down, as well as skip or go back on tracks. This is really helpful. Pros: lightweight Good sound Comfy Easy learning curve Cons: can’t use Bluetooth while charging Noise canceling could improve Doesn’t sound great in the wind At the end of the day, these are really good but could be better. I’d recommend them as a great, entry level headphone but there’s room for improvement in future models.

I am very please with these Insignia Over Ear BT Noise Cancelling Headphones. I use them mostly for cutting lawn and other outside chores. Controls: The right ear pad is a touch pad that with simple tap or swipe gestures you can fully control the music, answers calls etc. Only problem I have (and maybe there is a purpose for this) But when I swipe from the middle with one finger down to turn down the volume, I can hold my finger there and the volume will keep going down. For some reason this does not work for turning Vol up. You must keep swiping up.A little annoying.(Reason for - 1 star) My favorite function is the MONITOR function. This allows you to pause the music and amplify your surroundings. Great when someone wants to start talking to you when you while you are jamming out to music. Simply press and hold the touch pad with your palm or more than 2 fingers to enter this mode. Works great! Noise cancelling: Works great, Barely hear my tractor when music is playing. You can turn this function off, but everything sounds better with it on, so leave it that way. Bluetooth: Average distance. No problems at all when my phone is on or near me. Sound: Nice sound overall with plenty of bass. Battery: Used Multiple days on same charge. Never ran out, I simply charge after second or third use. Specs state up to 20 hr's of music playback. I believe that is close. 3.5 mm Jack Allows you to listen to music with your headphones off. Comfort / Portability: They are comfortable to me for as long as I wear them, which is on average 2-3 hours. As most over the ear designs, they may be a little warm in hot weather are a while. No case comes with these, which is a little surprising. Each ear piece only folds up toward the head band which do no make them real portable. I have another pair that allows the earpiece to fold 90 degrees to flatten out, much better for a briefcase etc. Obviously portability was not the goal with these headphones. Conclusion: You really can't go wrong with these noise cancelling headphones if you are a casual user and do not need them to fold flat. I have always been pleasantly surprised with Insignia headphones readability. I still have a pair of On ear BT headphones from probably 10 yr's ago that still work great.

Bought these off the "deal of the day" at $49.99. I love how it can use both Bluetooth and wired 3.5mm cable (provided in package). The noise cancelling I'd rate at 7 out of 10. There is a muted option while on BT that while lower volume just above silent to hear around without removing off ears. Also the rt side has a touch feature that works as well, volumes up down, skip track forward and backward. last but not least I'm not big on brand other companies items. The logo is on the top off the band and is in black so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Very comfy pads, bass is decent and lastly I bought 2, one for the misses.

I've had these for about 2 months so far and am loving them! Never had noise-cancelling headphones before, nor any that have touch controls. I can't speak to the quality of the audio, they sound just fine to me, but I only use them to watch TV at night when the kids go to bed and my wife is doing school work. I have used them almost every night for the past two months though and have found them to be very comfortable, have a good battery life (around 15-20 hours) and I enjoy the noise-canceling feature.

Very comfortable, ANC works very well on planes. Wasnt happy with the volume until one day I was messing with the touch controls on the side (which I had never used) and discovered they are only turned up to maybe 7/10 from the factory. A couple flicks of the finger I heard the Beep Beep max volume noise and now I can watch movies and listen to quieter podcasts at the perfect volume using the adjustment on my phone. Hopefully others complaining about volume stumble on this.

I'll start this off with some of the negatives. These are not ideal for the gym. They're bulky looking when wearing and at the gym you'll just look silly. Although they don't move around really if you do workout with them and if you don't care how they look on you in public. I also dont think they offer the best "boom" or bass for what they are, but I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10+ so I'm curious if thats a reason. They don't seem to get overly loud however as of writing this while listening to music on my Pixelbook, these seem to get louder than they do on my phone. I got these for my Pixelbook purposes so I'm happy that the experience is better than it is on my phone. I have a different pair of earbuds specific for my phone and I thought these would be more beneficial using with my Pixelbook due to the Pixelbook speakers not being ideal and I'll say I'm satisfied in that aspect. They offer great noise cancelling for music, though phone calls I was told my wife could hear our baby crying in the background ( used this as a test to determine if she could heard the baby, wasn't neglecting just seemed like a good situation to quickly test ) Even in this situation though, she was able to still hear my clearly and she came in crystal clear as well. The headphones are very soft around the ears, very comfortable and overall has a lightweight feel to them when on your head. The touch controls work nicely and offer all the controls you need if your someone using this with your phone. The controls are very responsive with how you slide on the touch area. I like how adjustable the band of the headphones can get and I'm also impressed with how the earpieces themselves retract in, making these headphones pretty easy/convenient to store. I'd recommend these headphones for those that want a comfortable experience with decent sound quality. I think with an equalizer control these could be great headphones for the cost, especially with the battery life they offer. Perfect for passenger car rides or just laying around the house not needing to worry about the noises around you.

I bought these when my cheaper wired Sony headphones started peeling on the ear pieces (you know, because of the faux-leather covering). I decided to go wireless and over the ear for a better experience, and I'm glad I did. These have excellent clarity for the highs and mids. Even the bass response is very surprising for something in this price range. They are comfortable on the ears and do a good job of blocking out noise. The noise canceling works best for white noise type sounds, like an air conditioner or fan, although it still does a decent job with other sounds. The bluetooth can be a little funky when using as a headset, because there is a "headphones" output option and a "headset" option. When I was previously running Windows 7, you had to make sure you only selected the headset option if you wanted to use the mic. If you mixed the headphones for output with headset for input, it wouldn't work properly. With Windows 10, it seems to do a better job. I did get this on sale, but even at the regular price, they're still a good deal.

I bought these to combat the noise on my commute home. The price is definitely within in reason for what you get compared to other products. The ear is completely enclosed which I feel aids in the noise cancellation. The controls are more than easy enough to operate as well properly placed for ease of access. In addition the battery life is great allowing for little to no worry if the power will last me the trip. A full charge average two hours a day for three days plus hours i was left with 60% battery life. Also the ability to still use the headphones with being connected to bluetooth is a huge plus. The only reason I didnt give it a five is because the audio cord does not have a mic to answer calls.

I was having trouble with hearing the TV. The audiologist said it is age related hearing loss and not quite ready for hearing aids. I bought the headset so that I would not disturb the neighbors. To my surprise, it has made everything much clearer. I don't need the volume of the headset to be very loud. not only are the voices clear, but I now hear "all" the background sounds from the TV. I did not even know I was missing them. They headset is very comfortable. It fits over the ear, so there is no pressure on the ears. The charge lasts for days of evening watching. It recharges quickly. I am not a music lover, so I can't say what the headset will do for music. However, it is GREAT for a senior wanting to hear all the TV programs without bothering others. The price is fantastic!

I rated this 3 stars as these headphones have two big pluses but one major minus for me. The minus: The sound quality just isn't very good. It has a muffled quality, as if there is a layer of cotton between the headphones and my ears. The bass comes through fine but the higher notes sound suffocated. These headphones are fine for listening to spoken sound, such as YouTube videos, conference calls, podcasts, etc. I'm not an audiophile, but I like to hear the full sound of music I listen to, including all the subtle effects and notes. I also like to appreciate the full lushness of orchestral pieces. These headphones dull the sound down so much I miss those subtleties. To be fair, this seems to be the case with a lot of noise cancelling headphones judging by what others say. The pluses are that they are very easy to use and are very, very comfortable. I have a medium-sized female head and I can wear these for hours without feeling any discomfort. They are also great at blocking out noise. Even without noise cancelling activated, they block out a lot of outside noise. Overall, they're a fine choice if you're not that picky about musical sound quality. I still use these for work activities, as they are so comfortable. But, when I want to appreciate music, I switch to a different pair of headphones.

Looking for noise cancelling headphones at an attractive price point? These are a headset that fall within that range for the budget minded consumer. At first glance the headphones are attractive looking then upon touching them you feel the solid build quality. The materials are overwhelmingly plastic and earcups are soft. Things I noticed from my use and test: -Headphone ear cups get warm after extended use. -Bluetooth causes audio to crack and pop when battery gets weak -Using the 3.5mm Jack gives best audio -Battery lasted around 15-18 hrs each charge. -ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) works to about 75% effectiveness; I could hear stuff still with in 5-7 feet just not as loud. Final Thoughts: These headphones fit the bill for the budget minded consumer who is on the go and travels. If you aren’t wanting to drop $200 plus for headphones on the airplane, these are for you!

Since I've been working at home, I needed a nice pair of wireless headphones that was also noise canceling so the background noise of my family would be less of an interruption. These popped up on a Deal of the Day and they are worth every penny. First off, they were shipped overnight which is awesome service to get something less than 24 hours after purchasing. The headphones are very lightweight. Sound level is superb. I'm listening to them at about 25% on my phone. Bluetooth range is pretty far. I can walk outside quite a ways from my desk and it still picks up. I've listened to music for about 10 hours without needed to charge again. I'm very pleased with this purchase :D
