Hi JT23, the Intel Core i5 10400 10th Generation processor use a 400-Series Motherboard LGA1200 Socket; which provides more power to the processor. Currently, the 1151 Socket is being utilized by the the Intel Core 8th & 9th Gen processors. Best Buy does have some available, check this one out. https://rb.gy/mxcizz Thanks for choosing Intel!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it is incompatible if it worked with an older generation i5. The previous generation was suitable for LGA1151, 10th generation uses LGA 1200.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It won't be compatible. 10k series runs on a new chipset.
