• If you are not gaming, I would look at the 9400k. it's less expensive, and would be more than enough for you

• Yes. Many i5s have integrated graphics on it, which allows you to use the display port on the motherboard to output to your monitor.

• Absolutely, highly recommend the i5, as it will hold a constant low temperature and is way more stable then a i7.
