• I have the very same cpu i5 in a Asus z390-e Strix. And is very stable, and doesn't get high temperatures even when pushed to the limits. Highly recommend this cpu over the i7.

• It is the 9th generation of Intel processors and YES, should work fine with ASUS z390p which has the latest microcode support for 9th generation processors. I purchased the same processor for a similar motherboard, the ASROCK z390 Phantom which is an ITX (very small form factor) MB. Works like a charm.
