Does this processor use hyperthreading? null

No, That is reserved for the i9 9900K for this generation of Intel processors. Does it really make a difference? Not really, unless you are continually editing videos as the main use for the processor, even then it works great. The i9 is better suited for editing, and CPU intensive programs. For gaming, the 9700K is just fine.
