Yes and no. You can just take it out of the box and it will work... but you will still have to wait for the bios to download for the processor. Also, It won't just jump into windows ten if the computer does not have windows ten installed on the hard drive already. The processor has nothing to do with having windows ten or not the hard drive and Microsoft accounts due. All the processor does is run what is in the hard drive, it doesn't have anything extra except its bios. What that means is that if your hard drive already has windows ten on it, then adding the processor will allow you to use it within a few minutes but if your hard drive lacks windows ten it will work, you just will be prompted to log in to Microsoft account.
