• Yes, it works on windows 8, and windows 8.1. google "IOGEAR drivers" and click the link that has iogear.com in it, or click here if it lets me post links http://www.iogear.com/support/dm/ enter the model number of the product (GBU521) and download the package for your version of windows.

• It worked well with my Toshiba Satellite Windows 8 laptop and Lenovo bluetooth mouse. I have had 2 of them fail, go completely inert, in the last 60 days though.

• Windows 8 is not listed under compatible operating systems. That doesn't necessarily mean it wouldn't work, however. I would try it and return it if it does not work.
