  • Q: do i have to download drivers and if so where  (5 Answers)

    By Anonymous

    • Best answerI used the IOGEAR - Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter. If you're using WinXP, Vista, or WIn8, you might need the IOGear drivers (newest versions come with the adapter, so no downloads). Win10 PnP recognizes it right away with no drivers to install.

  • Q: Can I plug this into my PC running Windows 10 and use the Bluetooth to view my PC screen onto a LG Smart TV  (1 Answer)

    By jg

    • AIOGEAR says: It depends on the capabilities of your TV. This is not a feature we have seen or tested. If you have a newer smart TV you can connect a win 10 computer without any device if it is an OEM copy with the Connect to a display feature. You can also use a device like a GWAVRB if your TV does not have the built in features to connect. Thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

  • Q: Can I plug this in to my dvd player usb drive and stream netflix from my phone?  (1 Answer)

    By DLopez

    • ANo, it is intended to be used with a smart device (laptop or pc) on which drivers must be installed for the hardware to recognize it and make it work. Your DVD player can't do that. I am using it because I have an older laptop with Windows XP and no bluetooth. Pretty much all smart televisions and Blu-ray players as well as some DVD players have some internet connection. If you have a recent enough player, it supports the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) protocols. If your player supports DLNA, you can run an application on your phone that will allow your player (DVD, BD, Roku, smart TV, etc) to stream video over your wireless network.

  • Q: Is this adapter recommended for pairing laptop to Roku streaming device?  (1 Answer)

    By dblteez

    • AThe GBU521 is designed to be used with a Computer that does not have Bluetooth and has a Windows operating system. In Theory if this is a Bluetooth to Bluetooth connection on your Roku it should work , however this has not been tested by IOGEAR. Again, thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

  • Q: can i use this dongle to connect my wireless keyboard to my samsung 4k ultra hd tv?  (3 Answers)

    By wondering

    • AI don't know if you can or can not but when I wanted to use a wireless keyboard for my Sony OLED, I purchased the Logitech K830 keyboard which is specifically made for using with your TV. By the way your TV should already be wi-fi capable
