• Hi, I'll be glad to assist! The Ion Boom Box Deluxe has an auxiliary input on the side, so you can plug a CD player in and record the audio to tape through the unit for playback.

• The short answer is no - this boombox does not have a built in cd player. However, as noted in the previous answer you can plug a cd player into the AUX Input and play cds.
