The virtual wall is basically a sensor that you can put wherever you like which will stop the Roomba from going any further than where you place that sensor itself.

Please try again later.it is an invisible line projected by the accessory box that comes with the machine, and the line, which is about 8 ft long,which when put across staircase or any other place,prevent s machine from falling down on to a lower level ,as when the machine reaches it ,it will not cross the line and bounce back.
