Basically exactly what it says it has a little cube you put on the floor. And basically point it in the direction you want to block like a wall and it was the go past it. I put mine in the opening of a hall way so it can’t enter. Hope that helps.
This barrier can be used to place a "virtual" wall to block an area from your Roomba (if you want it to avoid a certain room or section of a room, for example). You can also use it in a halo mode, which will create a circle around it that blocks Roomba. This is often used for pet bowls or other areas you want to avoid.
From what I gather, the barrier is placed in an area that you don't want the Roomba to go.
It stops roomba from crossing the barrier it can be a line like a wall or a circle like to protect the x mad tree keeps it away.
