“Are you able to charge the 'cassette' while it's in the car's tape deck? I see a cable running out in the photos, but I can't tell if that's only for the activate button or if it is also for the power.”

Unfortunately no. The cable in the picture is used for operating the phone. There is a port on that same side of the cassette that is used for charging the device with a separate cord provided in the set, but to my knowledge it cannot be used while in operation as it would prevent the cassette from entering the tape deck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you cannot charge the unit while it’s in the player. But the unit will tell you when it’s running low and needs to be charged. It will also automatically turn itself off when left in the player and not in use.
