• It actually works well, the only time there is any ground noise that I have noticed is if I have the unit on after taking a call with nothing coming through the radio. The unit will disconnect then you get the noise. Other than that it is crystal clear

• Yes, but in my experience it only happens when no audio is being transmitted by the mobile phone. As soon as audio from a phone connection, playing music, etc. starts the noise goes away (and it's not just masked by the foreground audio.)

• If it does not have a signal you will hear the engine whine sound but once your phone connects it will be dead quiet and silent, it is very good once connected.

• Unless you have a grounding issue at your cigarette lighter or a battery in need of replacing, you will not have any sort of noise issues.
