“For those who've used this with batteries instead of the AC adapter, how long do the batteries last?”

• I received this trash can on September 10 of 2019 and put the battery in and left it in. I am on my fifth month and the original battery is still working. I do not know how much longer it will continue to work, but I am amazed it worked this long. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is interested.

• I bought mine just before Christmas and have not replaced the batteries yet and it gets used often through the day.
