• best used if u plugging the usb from this hub to a usb 3 port on said case or motherboard . make sure to power it

• If you have a rear USB port that is soldered to the motherboard, you can connect the USB 3.0 7-Port HUB to that port or to the front USB ports of the PC case if any.
