Hi Dorris. If you recently upgraded your Dell Inspiron to Windows 11, you might need Microsoft's help. I just had a problem with my PC only recognizing one USB device plugged into my hub. If that is the problem you're having, it's because the Win11 update didn't carry the settings for the USB Root HUB (USB 3.0) from Win10. The USB Root Hub (3.0) driver will need to be updated. You can see the Universal Serial Bus controllers on your PC by going into Device Manager(right click on Start to get there).

Please make sure Dell Inspiron is up to date on any available software, drivers, BIOS, etc through Dell's website under their Support section. Being behind on updates could cause the j5 device to not function as intended. ** If you require further assistance; please contact our Technical Support team by Live Chat or submit a Support Ticket by visiting our website under the "Support" tab and we will be glad to further assist you. Our phone support will temporarily be unavailable due to COVID situations. Cordially, j5.
