You sure can. That's exactly the way I use them. The Right one will be the Active bud.

Yes, and yes. Use the right ear piece so you can use the button to accept calls. The left only controls volume, which you can change via phone if needed. If you leave the left one in the case, it will not connect to the phone while you are using the right one.

Yes. But after your phone it is quite ur ear buds will turn off if there is silence (like no music). So when ur next call comes in while driving u have to find a way to turn it back on and drive at the same time. This is not the ear bud for driving.

Hello Simon- Thanks for your question! The Elite 65t is great for calls on the go. The Right Earbud is able to be used independently, though you will need to control the settings through the device that is connected.
