Works with the watch 4 so would imagine it works with the 3.

Very much so. Turn the unit on; when it says "ready to pair," go to the Blue Tooth menu in the settings on your iWatch III (and indeed earlier iterations of iWatch), and the headset should appear in the menu. Select pair, and it does so with no difficulty.
