“Hi, why not considering to support at least 1 HIGH QUALITY codec, like APTx HD that can provide 24-bit/48kHz with high transfer rate at 576kbps (vs 250kbps by AAC or 320kbps by SBC) by a premium, expensive ($230), "high-quality" earbud, like the 85t? Thx.”

Hi SoundFan, we appreciate your feedback! Integrating the aptX codec means an increased drainage of power, and it also means lower connectivity quality, due to usage. We have done a cost/benefit analysis and determined that the vast majority of our users will not be impacted by the omission of aptX codec in Elite 85t.This is because most users use streaming services where the audio quality will not be impacted. This, however, is a feature that is getting more important over time and we will definitely consider including the codec going forward.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In order for the APTxHD codec to function, both devices you are using, i.e. earbuds and phone must support the codec. I have a Samsung S20 Note Ultra and it does not support the codec. Apple phones don't either. So, some of the more popular phones used for music wouldn't allow you to benefit from the high-quality codec if the 85t had the capability.
