Hello Joe - Both the left and right earbuds of the Jabra Elite Active 65t have microphones, so both will be used during calls to pick up your voice. Only the right earbud can be used independently, either for calls or music. The left earbud requires the right earbud to be in place for it to function properly. We have replacement earbuds available on our website in case you lose an earbud, as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, there are two mics on both earbuds. This helps with the noise canceling feature. However, for Mono mode, you can only use the right earbud. That bud has the button that will let you take calls, put them on hold and switch between two calls. You would have to adjust volume with your phone. Since it is BT 5.0 you can also have it paired to two phones simultaneously. As far as losing one, these stay in the ear very well and have a recharging case to keep them in when not in use. The Jabra app also has "Find My Jabra" feature that gives a very precise location of where your earbud was last connected to your phone, as well as being able to turn the bud on remotely and have it emit as sound to help you locate it. I hope that this helps you in your decision.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this model is functional singularly or in tandem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's mic on both but I believe I can only use the right side if I want to go just one bud. The left side won't work without the right but if the right is there, they both work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use one but it will have to be the right earbud, due to what the industry calls "master and slave communication" or better yet the right earbud has all the smarts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have tested this using a recording app and only the microphone on the right ear is used for calls. The microphone is definitely used for hear through and potentially ANC, but I have not found another instance that the left microphone is used.
