Yes, if your phone supports contact names, it does speak the names in your ear.

yes it announces the caller and you can tell it to answer or ignore

Mine doesn't but maybe there is a setting to pair it to the contact list in your phone. I may not have set it up to pull the names of the caller from my address book on my phone. Not sure if it can done hat you want.

The 505 does not seem to identify the caller but maybe there is a setting to pair it to your phone's contact list.
