“Hi. I recently purchased Jbl bar 2.1. The audio is ok when it is playing on PCM mode but when I switch program which is on dolby mode the front display shows dolby but the volume goes down the sound quality also goes down. What could be the reason.”

I believe the reason is that pcm is lossless and coming in on stereo where as dolby's audio might be coming in at 5.1 . My work around that is crank up the volume...and you'll still have a loud loud system.
