Do you turn it off when you’re not using it? If not that’s probably why. The built in amplifier is probably still receiving power. This doesn’t happen on the unit I bought for my parents as long as it’s turned off when not in use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Poor design and or manufacturing. Mine had the same issue. Spec says 2W electricity usage on *networked standby". I measured mine at 24W, way over spec. This translates to $25-$50 of electricity usage over a year. Maybe okay in Alaska where you'd need to heat a home most of the year anyway, but quite bad in Florida where you have to use the AC most of the year and pump out that extra heat (effectively doubling the waste).
