For the best connectivity results, please make sure that the device you are paired to is within 16-20 ft.

Like any bluetooth it depends on the setup of your place. If you're out in the open you can easily get 20-40ft with this but with walls/floors in the way it could be less. I can control the speaker on my deck from anywhere in my house (Basement, mainfloor, or upstairs)
