• Yes, I use it by the pool and have no problem hearing it. Both ends have what appears to be a bass speaker on it. The sound seems to projects from three sides of the device.

• Yes. The sound is booming so it's good for an outdoor party and there are no cords to fuse with. If it's a big outside event with lots of people I can't say that it will take the place of a dj or surround sound however ;).

• I wouldn't recommend it. I used it in the house and the speaker blew twice so imagine playing it outside and having to turn it up more. The Altec Lansing Mini Life Jacket 2 is a better option, same price and its completely waterproof etc and LOUD. It comes with the aux cord, charging block, usb charger, AND a mount
