They can be connected through the jbl application, both speakers will appear, you just have to link them and enjoy!

I'm sorry, I cannot answer that question. I litterally took it out the box and used it once for the party and several nights personal use without exploring its other features. That would be a JBL tech support question. Not sure if BestBuy can answer this.
