A:AnswerThe cooktop only comes with the motor assembly that has a 6 inch round tube that connects to the duct work. You have to buy and install the metal ductwork that connects to the motor and then exhausts outside your house. That does not come included.
A:AnswerDon’t know BTU’s, but will tell you we had electric cooktop and we are relearning cooking as takes much less time with this.
Much hotter.
Burners cannot be adjusted.
A:AnswerThe cutout dimensions of the Jennair website are correct except for one thing. That only accounts for the box, The unit has hex screws on the side the protrude about 1/4 inche on all sides. So you will need to make the hole slighlty biggeror account for that when you install the unit into a counter. Ours fit snuggly in the 30 inch kitchen cabinet that we have, but the hole in the countertop had to be notched bigger where the screws went for the unit to fit.
A:AnswerYes on JennAir. I do not have experience with Kitchen Air. On a low flame when the exhaust is on (even at the lowest level), you will hear constant ignite clicking as the flame gets sucked away from ignitor and it thinks flame is out (due to Flame sensing Ignition). Good safety feature but it is annoying at times as it constantly goes off when the exhaust is on. (exhaust is too powerful :-(
