You can use the left earbud independently as it controls both earbuds. If you try to use the right earbud, especially if you put the left earbud back in the case, you will disconnect both. I haven't found a way around it yet since I prefer wearing the right earbud.

Please try again later.Place a small piece of tissue paper on the left side charger spot put the left side bud in and shut the top it will not disengage because it will not connect with the charge connection although it won't charge you will still be able to use you're right earbud in close range to your charging case.
