• First off your phone has to support screen mirroring. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8. It supports mirroring. I use Android Auto and like it better than screen mirroring. Here is what I had to do to set up screen mirroring to try it. On your Android, go to “Settings” and find “MirrorLink” option. Take Samsung for example, open “Settings” > “Connections” > “More connection settings” > “MirrorLink”. After that, turn on “Connect to car via USB” to successfully connect your device. It does require you to use a USB cable. Android Auto requires you to use a USB cable.
