QuestionThe old radio I took out of a Mazda cx9 would track how much fuel was left untill empty in miles, is there a feature on this radio to do that?

- Answer I put mine in a 2006 Tundra. It does not have that feature as my truck never had the feature built into it. In any event, I couldn't have picked a better radio. I also had a back-up camera installed with it.

QuestionDoes this receiver support external hard drives?

- Answer The radio via the USB will read devices in format FAT, FAT32, exFAT and NTSF. If the hard drive can be formatted to this then it will work otherwise it will not.

QuestionWhat do I need to screen mirroring with Kenwood MDX7706S?

- Answer First off your phone has to support screen mirroring. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8. It supports mirroring. I use Android Auto and like it better than screen mirroring. Here is what I had to do to set up screen mirroring to try it. On your Android, go to “Settings” and find “MirrorLink” option. Take Samsung for example, open “Settings” > “Connections” > “More connection settings” > “MirrorLink”. After that, turn on “Connect to car via USB” to successfully connect your device. It does require you to use a USB cable. Android Auto requires you to use a USB cable.

- Answer Since I just had the Kenwood 7706S installed in my 14 Subaru: I needed the Maestro - Universal Analog Steering Wheel Interface Model:ADS-MSW. I get all my functions back from the OEM box. Works great.

- Answer Just having my 2014 Crosstrek done, here is what Best Buy used: Metra - Stereo Connector for Select Nissan Vehicles - Multi - Model:70-7552; Maestro - Universal Analog Steering Wheel Interface - Model:ADS-MSW; Metra - Harness for Most Vehicles - Multi - Model:AX-CAM6V. The backup camera needs a step down voltage from 12V to 6V. I'm not sure what they used to do that. GL

QuestionRecently purchased a DMX7706s head unit. Love it so far but I need a comprehensive, up to date list of compatible phones. I knew going in that my current phone was not compatible, but before I purchase a new phone I would like to know what my choices are.

- Answer FOLLOW UP: I purchased a Galaxy A50 and it works just fine. So if there's anyone who doesn't want to take out a loan or spend $1K on a phone to work with this unit, you can. Love the unit thus far. I do wish it had 2 usb outputs so I could hook up a flash drive since it doesn't play CD's/DVD's. I wanted to get the step up with wireless AA/CarPlay, but couldn't justify the extra cost. Ended up getting a magnetic charging/data cable and a magnetic mount for the phone which sits on the center console. Easy.

QuestionCan you fit this to a Wrangler JL that comes with a factory 5inch screen I know there is not yet a dash kit but the curved dash trim can be bought separately Can it be fitted from a wiring and functionality perspective? Crutchfield says it’s the one!
