• It works with my cars steering wheel controls, 2013 Corvette, but it requires another component that the previous owner had already installed.

• Yes and No. You must purchase an aftermaket device to make it compatible. Your factory microphone will not be obsolete. The radio comes with its own microphone which is not compatible with factory Bluetooth microphone.
