“How easy is it to clean under the pod housing? We have a Cuisinart with a removable pod housing and it’s impossible to clean. The Cuisinart has a buildup of dried coffee and grounds. It’s nasty! I want a k-cup coffee machine that I can easily clean.”

Pretty easy with a paper clip. Watch a Youtube video on it. Really beneficial!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never had that problem with this Keurig (just a couple weeks old) or my prior one (about ten years old). Keurig does make pods that you can use to keep that area cleaner than not, though I have never used them! But a few came with the new unit so I will.

We recommend descaling every 3-6 months using our descaling solution to keep the coffee maker free from scale or lime build up. The water reservoir and K-Cup pod holder can be removed and should be cleaned by wiping with a damp, soapy, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth and rinsing thoroughly. They should not be placed in the dishwasher. We hope this helps!
